Twelve hours, many zones
Recent GMID editions have used a long virtual broadcast as the shared spine. Organiser copy describes a run from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Central — twelve hours — so a chapter in another continent can drop a session into the same day. 2022 recaps mentioned roughly 4,500 registrants and speakers from Canada, Kenya, Mexico, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States and Zambia.
The stream is an MPI production when MPI says it is. This domain does not embed it, host a waiting room or issue a viewer code. When the stream is live, the link will be on mpi.org or on the chapter that invited you.
Local breakfasts continue beside the stream. A city can fill a ballroom and still send one speaker into the virtual hour. Those are parallel rooms, not substitutes.
